Breeder directory rows

The public professional directory (GET /api/profile/v1/{locale}/Profile/professionals?kind=BREEDER) lists breeders, kennels and catteries as one family. Since 2026-09-20 each row carries three additional, optional facts; a row from an older host simply omits them.

FieldTypeMeaning
professionalKindCodeBREEDER | KENNEL_CATTERYThe model the profile is on. KENNEL_CATTERY is the single business kind for kennels and catteries; there is no separate “cattery” code.
speciesCodesstring[]Species derived from every breed the profile declares (taxonomy SysNames, DOG, CAT first, then alphabetical), regardless of the species/breed you filtered on. Dogs only → show the row as a kennel, cats only → a cattery, otherwise kennel & cattery.
rankScorenumber | nullThe quality-only directory rank (0–100). Rows are already ordered by it (then rating, then handle) unless you asked for distance ordering; null = not ranked yet (a new listing before the nightly pass).

The profile detail (GET …/Profile/profiles/{id}) carries the same two derived facts as speciesCodes and businessKindCode (KENNEL_CATTERY or null).

GET /api/profile/v1/{locale}/Profile/kind-service-categories?kind=KENNEL_CATTERY (public) returns the eight categories a kennel or cattery may offer — BOARDING, DAYCARE, TRAINING, GROOMING, STUD_SERVICE, HANDLING, TRANSPORT, BREEDING — each with a localized name, a description and specialtyCodes: the prf.Specialty codes that map the category onto the platform service catalog through applicableSpecialtyCodesCsv on the service definitions. Intersect them to list “the boarding services this kennel could offer”.

The rank is computed nightly by the platform from verification, health-test uploads, contract use, inquiry response time, reviews, profile completeness and litter recency. Neither Partner status, nor a plan, nor any fee enters it, and no API changes it. Sponsored placements, if any, come from the Advertising BC and are labelled as such — never mixed into rankScore.
