Sending members to the Dashboard

Some integrations need a step only the member can take, in their United Pet Club Dashboard: register your site for audience insights, join the advertising publisher program, and so on. This page explains how to send them there so they land on the right screen the first time.

Since September 2026 the Dashboard sidebar is set up per profile:

  • A personal profile with no profession starts with a short sidebar — Home, Pets, Pet ID, Messages, Store, Appointments, Reviews and Profile.
  • A business (an organization, or a personal profile with a profession such as groomer or breeder) starts with its business tools, its own trade first. Only breeders and shelters keep Pets by default.
  • Members switch sections on and off themselves under Customize Dashboard, at the bottom of the sidebar.

So “open Advertising → Earn From Ads” can fail for a member whose sidebar has no Advertising.

Dashboard URLs don’t depend on the sidebar. A page opens for the member whether or not its section is in their sidebar, and while they’re on it the sidebar shows that section. Link straight to it:

https://dashboard.unitedpetclub.com/dashboard/{path}

Leave the locale out: the Dashboard adds the member’s own (their last-used language, en-US when it has none) before the page renders. A link with a locale in it — …/fr-CA/dashboard/{path} — opens in that locale whatever the member uses.

The member must be signed in and acting as the profile your application works with; the Dashboard’s profile switcher is in the account menu.

Name the screen by its menu path and give the link — the path helps members who browse, the link works for everyone. If a member reports that a menu item is missing, tell them to open Customize Dashboard at the bottom of the sidebar and switch the section on.
